nombril productions is a theatre and film production company dedicated to presenting unique projects that are challenging, provoking and inspiring, honoring not only its collaborative artists, but its audiences. we seek, through an intimate connection to our work and audiences, to invoke awareness and creative inspiration.

nombril productions, inc. was founded by freelance producer Stéphanye Dussud as a company to develop unique theatre, art and film projects, inspiring creative, artistic growth by its collaborative artists and presenting thought-provoking pieces for its audiences.

nombril means “navel,” “belly button,” “tummy button,” etc. in French, Stéphanye’s native language. the nombril is a unique part of the human body, thus representing the unique pieces we aim to present. the nombril is also the connection, through the umbilical cord, between mother and child in the womb – the ultimate source of “creation,” which inspires our dedication to artistic creativity and our intimate connection to our audiences.
